THE PROTAGONIST
Sandro is born and grows up in Milan, where he attends the Faculty of Philosophy during the '68 period. His mother Cini is a famous designer, his father Renato a neurologist, both former partisans and prominent figures in Milan at the time. Sandro leaves home quite early and gains his independence by working small jobs during his studies. He becomes a journalist and reaches the peak of his career by directing a well-known scientific journal.
Sandro has an analytical mind and the whimsical flair of a handyman inventor. Every year, for example, he repairs the dock of the house by the sea with planks and nails, from where he then sets off with his small motorboat to enjoy the dawn alone in front of the beaches of the Maddalena archipelago.
His memory is fading, but not his unbridled optimism and not the imagination he has always shown, producing unexpected solutions, facing life with the lightness and grace of a dragonfly.
The strength of his character is that of being normal and extraordinary at the same time. His is not the story of a hero, but that of an ordinary man, who leaves his mark for his extraordinary personality.
Even in the face of illness, Sandro had, and still has, his own approach, which will allow us to tell this tremendous and relentless disease in a new and surprising light.
